Day 1 - Friday Jet Lag, Kids, & Addis

Our start of the day on Friday was quite slow. We didn't sleep real well. Alemu our Ethiopia guide called at 4:00am to check in with us and talk about the weekend plans. I don't think he ever sleeps. I wasn't sleeping so I really didn't mind. However I proceeded to call Ted & Jill and let them know what was going on at 4:00 am as well. Oops. Anyway they didn't mind since I told them we were able to go see our kids on Friday.

We slept a bit more and woke for Breakfast, then proceeded to the internet café to let you know we were here. We went back for morning naps to help recover from the jetlag. Then we met with Getachew and Sammie and went to the orphanages. As you saw in the post last night this was a surprise to us, we were not expecting to see them till Monday.

We enjoyed every minute of it. Zuri was very happy to see Jill & Ted. She did not want to stay, she wanted to come with us right away. Jibril was beautiful. He is suffering from a cold and some congestion. Hopefully getting him home with help clear it up. We can't wait to go back on Monday to get them. Then we went back to the hotel and did some more posts. We went to the room and got ready for dinner. We meet with Alemu to touch base and then had dinner at the hotel dinner. Spaghetti & Lasagna were preferred choice for dinner.
