The Night Before Thanksgiving!

Last night we went to my GG's House (Great Grandma). On the way over I took a little nap and stayed sleeping for a while. I had to rest up for the night of fun. Every Thanksgiving my mom puts up GG's Christmas Tree. Since we are going to Chicago this weekend, we went to put up the tree last night. Here are some pics of the fun night. However we never got a picture of the beautiful tree. My Uncle Ryan came for a little while. Then Aunt Mary and Uncle Jon came too. We ate lefts over from last Sunday. Turkey and all the extras. It was yummy. I love to play in my swing at GG's house.
Have a Fun Day and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

1st Thanksgiving!

Yesterday was the 1st celebration of our Thanksgiving Holiday. We went to Grandma M's for some good food. I really didn't eat much as I was so distracted by all the excitement. Except for the Pumpkin Pie. I love to eat my dad's pumpkin pie. I am looking forward to this week. I get to spend 4 days with mom and dad. Mom said only 2 more days of work.
Here are some pictures of me eating my pumpkin pie.

Before leaving for lunch we tried to get some family photos. Well here you see it. The only 1 that turned out. Jakob doesn't quite understand looking at the camera when no one is behind it to take a picture. We will try for more this week.
We hope that everyone had a good weekend and are getting ready for Turkey week. We all have so much to be Thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving,
All our love,
Jakob, Mom & Dad

Photos of Fun this week!

We have been home for 8 months now. It is amazing how time flies. A few weeks ago, I posted some then and now pictures. However I couldn't resist doing it again. Check out these bath pictures. When we 1st took Jakob home he would take a bath in the sink, having a hard time even sitting up. You should see him now. He takes a bath in the big tub and uses the whole thing. He loves to try and drink out of the faucet. He will play for hours if we let him. We have also been trying to teach him to clean up his toys when he is done and clean up the mess after a meal. It has not worked at all, except he loves to mop the floor. He knows exactly how to push the button to get the cleaner to spray all over.

Jakob is feeling better, he is a little congested from his cold, but otherwise doing well. We took him out to Meijers last night, so we will see what he comes down with next.
I had a doctors appointment this week and everything looks good. Next appointment is in 3 weeks and then every 2 after that. She said that I am measuring 28 weeks right now. We will see what she says next appointment. Maybe she will move the due date up. YIPPEE!
We can't believe it is Thanksgiving already next week.
Have a great weekend. We will post again soon.
All our love,
Rick, Mandi & Jakob

1st Taste of Snow!

We were home from work only minutes tonight. I thought I would set Jakob down in the driveway to see what he did. He walked toward the snow and flop right in it. We only got 1 picture before the cry to pick him up. He wasn't quite dressed for it. We don't have an answer on whether he likes it or not yet, but I think he would pick Florida if he had a choice. (A small influence from mom!) He recovered great from his surgery. He had a bad cold this weekend, but we stayed in all weekend and he is doing much better.
Busy week this week, making up at work for lost hours last week.
Check back soon, maybe more snow pictures. Suppose to get dumped on again tonight.
Lots of Love,
Mandi, Jakob & Rick

Surgery Went Well!

Today Jakob had his circumcision surgery and did very well. We were at the hospital at 6:30. He could not have any food or water since midnight. So we didn't get much sleep. He wanted his bottle so badly last night. We made the best of it and he was sure happy to get it when he came out of surgery. Jakob had some time to play before surgery. The nurses loved him. He didn't really care for his gown, but the blue socks were styling.

We had to wait about 1 hour so it was not too bad. Jakob came back to the post op room in his crib. He slept for another hour before he started to wake for us to pick him up. He had an IV in his foot, so it was hard to hold him for a little while. Once he came around he was ready to drink and go home. The doctor said he will have some pain for a few days, so we are going to stay at home and not do much. We have already watched Baby Einstein 4 times today. Going to Blockbuster in a bit to find some more movies. He is eating pretty well. The hospital did a great job we were home by 10:00. Just wanted to give everyone an update.
Back to Baby Einstein!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is my daddy's birthday. I love him so much. He always plays with me and watches my favorite movie many times per day. After mom and I go to bed at night, he picks up all my toys.

We had a fun breakfast at home this morning. Then we went to Grandpa & Grandma Brower's for lunch.

It was a snowy day today. I was up early so mom wants to put me to bed early. I think she is the one that is tired.

I have surgery this week Tuesday, so please pray for me. It is just outpatient, so hopefully it won't be too bad. Mom says it will hurt and I will probably sleep all day. Mom and Dad are spending the whole day with me.

I will send more pictures after my surgery.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

All my love,
Jakob

Fall Photos!

What a beautiful weekend it was. We had a chance to be outside a bit. Here are some cool pictures of Jakob in the leaves.

Hope that you had a wonderful weekend.
Jakob was at the doctor again today. His ear infection is gone. He said he should be feeling better soon. Last night was a really rough night. Hopefully tonight will be better. Hoping for at least 5 hours of sleep tonight.
Lots of Love,
Rick, Mandi & Jakob.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN YESTERDAY!

Hope you have a few minutes. This may take a while. We had a very busy day. We started about 2:00 in the afternoon from Sarah's house. We headed to Graphix to see all of Jakob's girlfriends and relatives. He put his costume on in the back of the car. Here's how he tells the story.
A day in life of a Monkey on Halloween.

Candy, Candy, Candy. I walked quickly, because I can't run yet, from the car to the store.
I hurried in to see all my family and friends. My GGram was close by.I showed my grandma my costume, but really wanted to play with the big blue water bottles.
I always have fun playing with the water bottles. I could still play with them while I was in costume. I had fun with Aunt Marcia too.
So much fun, I already had to lay down for a rest. Let me tell you, but the end of the day I was 1 tired monkey. We then headed over to see Papa and Nana at the office. We made a few stops along they way to show off my costume, but no pictures.

My cousin the chicken was there too. We played for a few minutes.
Here is a picture of our better side.We went to see great grandma too.
She gave me a yummy orange sucker. I was very tired so I took off my costume.

After Great Grandma we went home and took a nap. When dad got home from work we went to see Grandpa and Grandma Brower.

They were very nice to put candy in my pumkin. However I stole their bowl and continued to add candy to my pumpkin.

Guess what - I laid down for a rest there too. This monkey business is hard work.

I slept pretty good on Friday night. I was very tired from being a monkey all day. I woke up Sat morning. We had a nice breakfast. I didn't have my costume on, but I still had to play monkey. Just trying to help dad load the dishwasher.

Overall it was a fun Halloween. Thanks everyone for the candy. Mom and dad said they will share a little with me. I saw them already starting to eat it last night.
Headed out for dinner tonight, so maybe we will have some more fun pictures to post tomorrow.
All my love,
Jakob, Mom & Dad
